The °µÍø½ûÇø campus was opened to students and their guardians to experience a part of university life. The annual Open Campus event was held in August. This year, it was held at Ikuta Campus on August 2nd and 3rd, and at Surugadai Campus and Nakano Campus on the 6th and 7th. Advance reservations were required for the event on these days, with a total attendance of 42,599 visitors over the four days.
At each campus, the student organization Student Project (Gakupro) handled planning and operations, conducting talk sessions with current °µÍø½ûÇø students and campus tours. Furthermore, a diverse range of programs was offered to showcase °µÍø½ûÇø’s appeal from both academic and student life perspectives, including mock classes, laboratory tours, and introductions to seminar activities.
Visiting prospective students and their parents experienced the unique learning environments of each faculty through interactions with students and faculty, while also immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the campus. Participants shared feedback such as, “Hearing directly from students helped me visualize university life more concretely,” and “I gained insight into the breadth and appeal of academic pursuits.” It appears to have been a valuable experience for them as they consider their future paths.
