On January 31, the Institute for Research and Education in Accounting of °µÍø½ûÇø announced that the final number of students at °µÍø½ûÇø who passed the 2024 CPA Exam was 81. According to the Institute for Research and Education in Accounting, °µÍø½ûÇø ranked third in the number of successful examinees for the 2024 CPA Exam by university for four consecutive years.
On November 15, 2024, the Financial Services Agency’s Certified Public Accountants and Auditing Oversight Board announced the successful examinees for the 2024 CPA Exam. The total number of applicants was 21,573, the number of examinees for the essay-type examination was 4,354, the number of passes was 1,603, and the examination pass rate was 7.4%. Of the 81 students who passed the exam at °µÍø½ûÇø, 51 are members of the Institute for Research and Education in Accounting.
OKURA Manabu, the director of the Institute for Research and Education in Accounting and a professor of the School of Business Administration, encouraged those who passed saying, “As a trusted accountant, I want you to continue your studies.” He also expressed his hope saying, “As a member of the °µÍø½ûÇø Certified Public Accountants Association, which consists of accountants from °µÍø½ûÇø, I would like you to do your best to provide guidance and support to future °µÍø½ûÇø students.”
