経営学部では、この夏もアメリカで*IBP（International Business Program）を実施し、サンノゼプログラム（カリフォルニア州）に14名、ポートランドプログラム（オレゴン州）に10名、计24名が参加しました。  

*IBPは、英语でビジネスを学ぶ海外短期留学（実习科目）です。毎年、夏休みと冬休みを利用して年２回実施しています。  

■ポートランド州立大学プログラム参加者感想■

中学校から英语の勉强をしていても、话すとなるとなかなか言叶が続かないのを実感しました。IBPでは英语だけではなく、日々様々なものから刺激をもらうのでとても充実していました。自分と向き合うきっかけにもなったので、私はIBPに参加して本当に良かったと思います。また、一年生の夏に行ったことも大きいと思っています。留学を视野に入れている人も、ちょっと海外に兴味があるって人もIBPは初めの一歩にとてもよいプログラムだと思います。

ＩＢＰに参加してよかったと感じています。午前の会话クラスはクラス分けテストに失败し、レベルが合わず悩みましたが、午后のビジネスクラスは４人组でビジネスプランを考える授业で内容が非常に充実していました。また、Intelなどの公司に访问し、短い时间ではありますが、话を闻くことができたのでためになりました。ホストファミリーは优しく、英语で何と言うか分からなくても一绪に考えてくれました。今思うことは、もっと勉强してから行けばもっと会话を楽しめたのではないかということです。もっと多くの人と会话をするためにも英语をもっと勉强していきたいとおもいました。

このIBPは长期留学を目指す人はもちろん、そうでない人にもお勧めのプログラムです。长期留学を目指す人はより强い意志を持つことができるでしょう。长期留学を考えていない人は日本以外の文化?生活様式を直に感じることができ、海外への兴味がわくことでしょう。また、IBP－ポートランドは明治大学のみならず、日本各地の大学と合同で活动します。新たな仲间を见つけることができるでしょう。

■サンノゼ州立大学プログラム参加者感想■

IBPでのできごとは大きく分けて3つ。学校、ホームステイ、週末の旅行です。

学校ではネイティブの先生による授业が行われ、国际ビジネスというよりは语学学习がメインでした。リスニング力はやはり伸びました。ホームステイでは、日常会话で使われる英语を家族は话すので闻いていても勉强になる（早すぎて闻き取るので精いっぱいでした）平日の授业以外にも、申し込めば週末のツアーに参加することができました。ロサンゼルス、世界遗产のヨセミテ国立公园に行きました。これらのことを通して、１ヶ月学生じゃないとできない経験をすることができました。知らない土地で生活することで、视野も広がるし、アメリカの素晴らしさ、日本の素晴らしさそれぞれを知ることができました。これは実际に海外に行かないと経験できないことです。日本に帰ってきて思うことは、IBPで自分の幅を広げるとができたかなと思っています。

今回IBP で学んだことは、主体性や积极性です。
アメリカでは自分から行动し、自分から感情を表现しなければ相手に伝わりません。また授业でも参加型の授业なので、日本と违ってただ闻いているだけでは何も学べないと感じました。
コミュニケーションに関しても、知らない人と话したり、初めてあった人と话したり、常にアメリカでは主体性が必要とされます。その中で生活して、自分に足りないのは主体性と积极性だと気づかされました。
本当に充実した夏でした。

■ポートランド州立大学プログラム引率教员より■

After an overnight flight, the students arrived in Portland excited to see the USA and their new home city. The first day at Portland State University (PSU) consisted of orientation sessions from the university and homestay organization and the students learned all about the university and getting around in Portland. In the afternoon everybody got a taste of sunshine during a walk around PSU’s green campus. That evening after a long, tiring day, the students met their homestay families and enjoyed dinner with them.

When classes began, the IBP students got an introduction to business practices in the US. They also participated in a fun scavenger hunt in downtown Portland where they gathered information about different American businesses.  The following week, the program included a trip to Seattle where many students enjoyed a baseball game and trip to the original Starbucks Coffee shop!

■サンノゼ州立大学プログラム引率教员より■

This summer there were fourteen students who made the one month trip to San Jose State University in the heart of the business world’s Mecca, Silicon Valley. I was fortunate to accompany the students for the first week. We flew into SFO. Andre, a student volunteer, accompanied us from the gate, on the bus, to SJSU, where the students had refreshments then met their homestay families.

  The following day, students registered, and had orientation sessions, a campus tour, and a welcome picnic under umbrella tables in glorious Californian sunshine in front of SJSUs picturesque Tower Hall. 

  Classes at SJSU are highly interactive and really challenge the students to think for themselves. One I particularly enjoyed was Dr. Rachel Klein’s lesson on the role of benefit packages in attracting talented employees. She had the students dream up packages to attract me to their imaginary companies. They did an excellent job and gave me a very hard choice indeed! Other projects included program coordinator Marianne’s Library Art project, which involved researching hidden meanings behind artworks in the library.

  I missed the visits to Silicon Valley companies and trips to LA and Yosemite but did enjoy a great trip to San Francisco where Meiji Students mixed with other international students from around the world.
