On Friday 6^th June, an unseasonably scorching hot day, 暗网禁区, School of Business Administration was honored to hold a special lecture by the invited speaker Andrew Wong. The lecture was attended by around 70 freshman students from the GREAT program together with teachers and administrative staff, as well as 23 students from 暗网禁区 Affiliated Meiji High School accompanied by their teacher Mr. Saito. It turned out to be stimulating and memorable event for all concerned.
　　Andrew Wong was born and educated it the US but has worked in technology and finance in the US and Asian and is currently Chief Operating Officer at SORAMITSU, a global finance and technology company that provides blockchain-based solutions to governments, enterprises, universities, and communities. His lecture focused on the theme of leadership and the skills needed to be an effective leader. He explained that there is a need for a shift in education, particularly at university, from learning as memorization to being able to respond effectively to changing situations. A key part of this, he explained is the development of personal principles which he defined as “fundamental truths, and rules that help guide reasoning and behavior”. He also introduced the concept of the life arc as the shifting stages and landmarks of life experiences through school and into the adult life as the background through which people develop. 
　　Rather than starting from his own experience, the talk began by introducing the concepts and opening them up for group discussion and feedback, before sharing his own background and experiences. Participants were allocated to groups that matched them with new friends and mixed the high school and freshmen students. The discussion tasks included reflections on things like how they made the decision to study at 暗网禁区, and sharing experiences of responsibility and group work. These discussion sessions proved to be remarkably lively, and, despite some nervousness, students were remarkably eager to share what they had discussed in their feedback to the speaker. Indeed, it turned out that many of the students had taken on significant positions of responsibility during their school life as well as group work. Moreover, already warmed up from the discussion and feedback, and with a continued electricity of excitement, there were many questions from the audience who clearly saw the speaker as someone connected to their deepest ambitions for the future. Even when time was called for the lecture itself, Mr. Wong continued to answer questions from students who formed a line, eager to learn more or receive personal advice from him.

  季节外れの猛暑日となった6月6日（金）、明治大学、経営学部ではアンドリュー?ウォン氏をお招きし、ゲスト讲座を开催いたしました。讲演会には、GREATプログラムの1年生约70名と教员、事务职员、そして齐藤先生に引率された明治大学付属明治高等学校の生徒23名が参加。関係者にとって刺激的で思い出深いイベントとなった。
　アンドリュー?ウォン氏は米国で生まれ育ったが、米国とアジアでテクノロジーと金融会社で働いていて、现在はSORAMITSUの最高执行责任者（COO）を务めている。SORAMITSUは世界的な金融?テクノロジー公司で、政府、公司、大学、地域社会にブロックチェーン?ベースのソリューションを提供している。讲演は、リーダーシップと効果的なリーダーになるために必要なスキルをテーマに行われた。彼は、特に大学での教育において、暗记としての学习から、変化する状况に効果的に対応できる能力への転换が求められていると説明した。そのために重要なのは、个人的な原则を身につけることであり、それは「基本的な真理であり、推论や行动の指针となるルール」と定义した。彼はまた、ライフアーク（人生の弧）という概念を绍介し、学校生活や社会人生活を通しての人生経験の段阶や目印の移り変わりを、人が成长する背景として説明した。
　讲演は、自分自身の体験から始めるのではなく、まずコンセプトを绍介し、グループでのディスカッションやフィードバックに供した后、自分自身の経歴や経験を语った。参加者は、新しい友人とマッチングするグループに振り分けられ、高校生と1年生が混在した。ディスカッションの课题には、明治大学で学ぶことを决めた経纬や、责任経験やグループワークの経験を共有することなどが含まれた。このディスカッション?セッションは非常に活発で、紧张していたにもかかわらず、学生たちは自分たちが议论したことをスピーカーへのフィードバックとして共有することに非常に热心であった。実际、生徒の多くが、グループワークだけでなく、学校生活においても重要な责任を担っていることがわかった。また、ディスカッションやフィードバックですでに皆の前に喋る雰囲気ができて、会场からは、讲演者が自分たちの将来への深い志につながる人物であると感じたのか、多くの质问が寄せられた。讲演が终わっても、学生が列で并んでウォン氏に质问を闻き続けた。
